December 12, 2000 Bush V Gore decided in the U.S Supreme Court.

1870: The first African-American member of the U.S Congress Joseph H. Rainey takes his seat in the U.S House of Representatives.

1915: Yuan Shikai, President of the Republic of China states that he seeks to reinstate the system of monarchy and make himself Emperor of China.

1917: The famous home for wayward boys farm village ,known as “Boys Town” is established in Nebraska by Father Edward J Flanagan.

1936: Amidst the chaos of Chinese Civil War and the Japanese invasion of China the famous Xi’an incident takes place ,where fellow Nationalist Zheung Xueling abducts the Generalissimo of the Republic of China Chiang Kai-Shek, holding him until he agrees to establish an alliance with the Communist Party of China to fight the Japanese invaders.

1943: Musician Dickey Betts is born.

2000: U.S Supreme Court rules in Bush v Gore.

Boxothoughts

Welcome this is my blog. Yeah, I know very creative introduction. I have an Associates Degree in Communications and am working towards my Bachelor’s Degree in that same field, with an emphasis on Journalism. In the past I have written and done internships with Reminder Publications as well as the Valley advocate, two well known organs of local journalism in Western Massachusetts.

However as with almost all blogs, this one is not completely objective. I started this blog as a more professional design to my more casual (and some would say more cluttered) version of my blogspot blog. This is meant to inform, but most of all for me to express my views and share with you interesting things that catch my attention and are on my mind. Agree or disagree comments are always welcome. I will write about amongst other things: politics, music , Jam bands, movies, and history just to name a few subjects. So come and open the box into the world of my own thoughts.
