Pearl Harbor Day

In Foreign Affairs, Holidays, World War II on December 7, 2007 by Editor Z

Today is the anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Every generation has at least one national or international incident of great tragedy that hangs over it and remains etched in their minds forever. Just as the 9/11 attacks have been that for this generation, the Kennedy assassination of 1963 for the generation before, and Pearl harbor was for my grandparents generation.

It is the day that America went from passive observer to active allied power. The day that America came together and grew into that magnificent flower and began becoming a truly global power.

Don’t know if it has sound, cause here on campus all the computers seem to lack speakers, thereby making listening impossible for me right now. So watch and enjoy.
