Pat Robertsons 2008 Call from God.

In jerks, off-beat, Religion, stupidity on January 5, 2008 by Editor Z

Straight from God’s lips to, Pat’s mind?

Controversial televangilist, leader of the religious right, and one time Presidential hopeful Pat Robertson this past Wednesday gave his annual list of predictions for the coming year, which according to him he gets in direct consultations with God.

Last Year Robertson, 77, warned of amongst other things a nuclear style attack on the United States that would result in mass casualties. Obviously that one was wrong. Guess God pulled a fast one on you Pat.

Anyway God’s forecast, according to Pat, is much more vague then last years. Robertson foresees amongst other things in the coming year worldwide violence, an economic recession in the U.S, and more mystical phenomena.

ABC 24 Myeyewitnessnews:

“We will see the presence of angels and we will see an intensification of miracles around the world.”

MY TAKE: If God was to talk to anyone directly why would he talk to this modern snake oil salesman, who once endorsed the idea of a nuclear attack on the state Department? I would think by now God would no longer be taking any direct calls from Robertson, having his secretary tell him that God is in a meeting whenever he calls.

The continued bloodletting with the War in Iraq the tense situation between the U.S and Iran, the genocide in Darfur, and the Bhutto assassination just to name a few are obvious signs that the world will continue to find itself wrapped in violent turmoil for sometime to come. Its obvious. Also economists have been predicting in recent months that the U.S will face a recession. We didn’t exactly need God to tell us that Pat.

So I wouldn’t put much wait behind Robertson’s angels prediction either or anything else this guy says.
