This Quote seems Appropriate

In Iraq War, politics, U.S History, Vietnam War on June 3, 2008 by Editor Z

Thursday marks the fortieth tragic anniversary of Senator and 1968 Democratic Presidential hopeful Robert F Kennedy (D-NY), its an election year, and America finds itself once again entangled in yet another unjust and divisive war. So this quote from a March 18,1968 speech at Kansas State University about the high price Vietnam war, sounds like it could be just as relevant today as it did then.

Robert F Kennedy:

For it is long past time to ask: what is this war doing to us? Of course it is costing us money–fully one -fourth of our federal budget— but that is the smallest price we pay. The cost is in our young men, the tens of thousands of their lives cut off forever. The cost is in our world position— in neutrals and allies alike, every day more baffled by and estranged from a policy they can not understand.
