The Most Requested item in the U.S National Archieves

In Fun with Richard Nixon, hahahas, off-beat, U.S History, U.S Presidents on June 27, 2008 by Editor Z

The Perfect collision of Pop culture and politics. December 21,1970 a day that will live in infamy.

So what would you think would be the most requested document in the legions and legions of historic documents, records, recording, and photographs in the U.S national achieves? The U.S Constitution? Bill of Rights? Declaration of independence? Watergate tapes? OK, if you said Watergate tapes you are getting warmer. Actually, according to one blogger its the photo of then President Richard M Nixon and rock king Elvis Presley in 1970 shaking hands in the oval office.

At first I doubted this, but it is true.

MY TAKE: I used to have a t-shirt of this photo with the words WERE DEAD printed in screaming red letters right above it.
