Bush to play the 9/11 Card

In 2008 Presidential Elections, Bush/Cheney Administration, neoconservatives, politics, shameful, stupidity on September 3, 2008 by Editor Z

For the past seven years, Bush/Cheney have used the tragedy and carnage of 9/11, all but riding the coffins of the thousands of Americans killed on that horrible day to re-election and to push destructive and ill- constructed policies that have left the Gulf Coast in poverty, the economy in tatters, America’s image abroad besmirched, and over 4,000 soldiers dead in Iraq. So it should be no surprise that he returns to use the ‘9/11 card’ to attempt to paint the fictional portrait of himself and McCain as the two Churchillian visionaries who somehow are the only ones equipped with the knowledge to keep America and the world safe from terrorism.

Here is an excerpt from the remarks Bush is set to make to the Republican National Committee in St.Paul, Minnesota tonight via satellite at about 9:40pm/ET.

“We live in a dangerous world,” Bush says in remarks prepared for delivery to delegates by satellite from the White House. “And we need a president who understands the lessons of September 11, 2001: that to protect America, we must stay on the offense, stop attacks before they happen, and not wait to be hit again. The man we need is John McCain.”

Doesn’t this man have an ounce of shame within him? Right I know its a hypothetical question.
