Ghandi, King, Mandela, and Blagojevich?

In politics, scandal, stupidity on January 25, 2009 by Editor Z

Marking the start of his media blitz to attempt to win some public support the embattled Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D-Ill)opened up about his December arrest on criminal charges. The governor said he thought about his family at first, but then thought about other courageous souls who went to jail for a greater cause.

First off Blago your not that great get over yourself. Second if you are a martyr what is your cause? Gandhi went to jail to fight against the evils of British imperialism. Dr Martin Luther King went to fight against the scourge of segregation and inequality, as well as to speak out against the Vietnam war. And Nelson Mandela went to jail for his activism and opposition to apartheid. On the other hand, Blagojevich has faced charges for amongst other things using the power of his office to enrich himself and enhance his political fortunes with a sick children’s hospital as a pawn in his game. Now ask yourself, is that something Gandhi, Dr King, or Nelson Mandela would do?
