A few years ago when I heard that Radio Shack had fired hundreds of employees by e-mail, I wondered how much lower someone could go. Ending someone’s career by hiding behind technology, not even giving them the personal courtesy of a one on one face to face explanation is shoddy and outright base.
Evidently I was wrong. A wife battering facebook user ended his marriage not face to face or even through e-mail but via facebook. And the only reason why she found out she was divorced is because a friend phoned her.
Mother-of-one Emma Brady, 35, claimed she learned her husband was divorcing her only when he changed his status on the social networking site to read: “Neil Brady has ended his marriage to Emma Brady.”
And she only found out after a friend in Denmark saw the online posting and called to ask her how she was.
The conference manager was said to be “shell shocked” at finding out on Facebook that her marriage was over despite the couple having “ups and downs” during their relationship.
