Florida State Senator Thinks Animal Husbandry Means People Taking Animals as Husbands!

In Crime, environment, off-beat, stupidity on March 12, 2009 by Editor Z

Congratulations Florida! Soon the sunshine state could lose its status as being one of the only states where bestiality, when a human engages in sexual intercourse or action with an animal will soon be outlawed. You hear that, so all of you who want to get a little action from someone outside your species you will have to move someplace else.

The issue arose when three years ago, a panhandler was accused of accidentally asphyxiating a goat while engaging in sex with it, a practice many don’t see any problem with. And those people need help! Just joking. Many say that sex with animals could be a prelude to sex with children.

Anyway the legislation is being pushed in the Florida State legislature by State Senator Nan Rich (D-FL).

However one State Senate Colleague Sen. Larcenia Bullard (D-FL)seemed confused when she thought animal husbandry meant “people taking these animals as husbands”.

Miami Herald:

Rich’s legislation would target only those who derived or helped others derive ”sexual gratification” from an animal, specifying that conventional dog-judging contests and animal-husbandry practices are permissible.

That last provision tripped up Miami Democratic Sen. Larcenia Bullard.

People are taking these animals as their husbands? What’s husbandry?” she asked. Some senators stifled their laughter as Sen. Charlie Dean, an Inverness Republican, explained that husbandry is raising and caring for animals. Bullard didn’t get it.

”So that maybe was the reason the lady was so upset about that monkey?” Bullard asked, referring to a Connecticut case where a woman’s suburban chimpanzee went mad and was shot.

Nothing more to say here.
