Sign Petition to Free Journalists Jailed in North Korea

In Foreign Affairs, human rights, Journalism, media on May 31, 2009 by Editor Z

Laura Ling and Euna lee are two journalists who were apprehended by the North Koreans when they were reporting on the trafficking of North Korean women. They were arrested in March on accusation by North Korea’s government that they were spying. Now they could face as much as a decade locked away in a North Korean labor camp.

Their ‘trial’ date is for June 4. Sign this petition (H/T: Tammy Bruce) urging the North Korean government to free these two journalists. Don’t let those who dread the free exchange of ideas and information prevail in caging freedom and truth. Make your voice heard.
